Four promises we built into the app
These aren't policy fine print — they're how the software is architected. It couldn't work another way if we wanted it to.
Your data lives on your phone
Your trips, locations, and history are stored on your device and never reach us. The app works fully offline. There is no server of ours holding a copy of your drives.
We don't sell your location
Full stop. Your movements are not a product. We don't run ad networks, we don't broker location data, and there's no third party quietly riding along.
No cross-app tracking
Maps come from OpenStreetMap and your location is processed on your device — never through an ad platform. We collect anonymous crash reports to fix bugs, with no advertising ID and nothing that identifies you. Your driving isn't feeding a profile of you.
No account to make
No sign-up, no email, no password to use the app. Open it and drive. We can't lose what we never asked you for.
How your data actually flows
"Local-first" isn't a slogan — it's the design. Here's the path your trips take.

Recorded on your device
When you drive, the trip is captured and saved directly in the app's private storage on your phone.

Your phone is the source of truth
Everything you see — history, costs, stats — is computed from the copy on your device. No internet connection required.

It stops there
There is no upload step. No account, no cloud, no sync: the drive you just finished sits on your phone, and no copy of it is ever sent to us. Your phone's own iCloud or Android backup may include it, the same as any other app's data — that copy is in your account, not ours.

Delete means delete
Remove a trip and it's gone from your phone — the only copy there was. Delete the app and every drive goes with it.
What we never do
None of this is a setting you have to find and switch on. There is no account and no server, so there is no sharing to opt out of — it is what the app is, not what it is currently configured to do.
What we do collect
Crash reports. That is the whole list.
We collect only anonymous crash reports, to fix bugs. We never track you across apps, and we never sell your data. None of it carries your name, your email, an advertising ID, or a single one of your routes. Nothing counts how you use the app: the drive-health evidence the app keeps is written to a log on your phone, and it leaves only if you choose to send it.
One exception, while it lasts: the TestFlight build currently on iPhones is older than the removal and still sends the anonymous counts this app has since stopped collecting. This note comes down when the next iOS build reaches you.
That is the complete list. If it grows, this page changes in the same release — a counter that ships before it is written down here is a bug we treat as seriously as a broken drive.
